Composite are a combination of two or more products with differing properties.  The goal of manufacturing is to combine these in such a way as to make a new product that is both stronger and lighter in weight.  The technology that has emerged in the making of composite materials has been astounding.  Products formerly made of steel or sheet metal are now being produced from composites. Airplanes, rockets, boats, golf clubs, household items and other goods are lighter weight and stronger than before.  As the future unfolds, it is anticipated that more and more uses will be found for composite materials, and that the industry will continue to grow at a rapid pace.
